Aespa's 'Spicy' Comeback
K-pop group Aespa is making a sizzling comeback with their new mini-album.
Starting with Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 11th, Aespa will appear on KBS2's 'Music Bank' on the 12th, MBC's 'Show! Music Core' on the 13th, and SBS's 'Inkigayo' on the 14th, showcasing their comeback stage with the title track 'Spicy.' The dance track features a powerful synth bass sound and dynamic beats. Aespa's performance includes a finger-pointing dance move that mimics dipping into spicy sauce, capturing attention with its playful, energetic coolness and dazzling hotness.
In addition to 'Spicy,' Aespa will perform 'Salty & Sweet' on 'M Countdown' and 'Show! Music Core,' while 'Thirsty' will be showcased on 'Music Bank.' These performances are expected to enchant viewers with a different charm from the title track.
Notably, 'Thirsty' was mentioned in Billboard's recent '10 Cool New Pop Songs to Get You Through the Week,' praising it as a song that "shows the R&B capabilities of K-pop stars. The addictive chorus blends well with the delicate trap-inspired beats and smooth vocals, as if the girls are winking at their crush with lines like 'What you wanna wanna do boy?'"
Aespa's third mini-album 'MY WORLD,' released on the 8th, has not only set a new record for the highest first-day sales for a K-pop girl group (1,372,929 copies), but also topped major domestic album and music charts, as well as achieving #1 in iTunes Top Album Charts in 20 regions worldwide.
