Park Eun-bin: The Unfazed 'Grand Prize Actress' Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments from the 'Baeksang Arts Awards'
Actress Park Eun-bin has revealed behind-the-scenes photos from the Baeksang Arts Awards.
On the 9th, Park Eun-bin shared behind-the-scenes shots from the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, which took place on the 28th of last month. She tagged her agency, Namoo Actors, and unveiled a series of photos taken by them. The images captured various moments, from her elegant and lovely appearance in an off-the-shoulder dress on the red carpet to her commemorative photoshoot after winning the grand prize.
Park Eun-bin won the grand prize in the TV category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in the ENA drama 'Strange Lawyer Woo Young-woo.' She received tremendous love for her portrayal of Woo Young-woo, a lawyer on the autism spectrum.
After winning the grand prize, Park Eun-bin shared her sincere and meaningful thoughts, saying, "I was afraid that depending on how I portrayed 'Woo Young-woo,' it could be a huge wound to someone. So, I had to constantly verify every thought and moment to ensure I wasn't unknowingly harboring any prejudice."
However, on the 1st, poet and cultural critic Kim Gap-soo appeared on 'Jung Young-jin, Choi Wook's Burning Show' and unexpectedly criticized Park Eun-bin's acceptance speech. He said, "She's a great actress and will continue to do well. But she was crying and sniffling," and continued, "She bowed more than 30 times from the table to the stage. She bowed to everyone around her. What kind of courtesy is this? Then she fell and cried."
The remarks crossed the line and drew criticism for being rude, especially when comparing her to other actresses. As the controversy continued, Kim Gap-soo eventually apologized on the 8th during the 'Burning Show,' saying, "If it sounded like I was targeting Park Eun-bin even though I had no intention to, it's my fault for saying it."
Since the controversy, Park Eun-bin has continued to walk her own path. She has uploaded certification photos to thank various brands and fans for their congratulations after winning the 'grand prize.' This time, she seemingly ignored the controversy created by Kim Gap-soo and shared behind-the-scenes photos, earning applause for her composed attitude while enjoying the aftermath of her grand prize win.
Meanwhile, Park Eun-bin is currently busy filming the drama 'Desert Island Diva.' The story follows a girl who, after being stranded on a desert island due to a mysterious accident, is discovered 15 years later and adapts to the world.
