Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, the 5th Solo Female Artist to Perform at the Gymnastics Stadium
Taeyeon, the leader of girl group 'Girls' Generation' and a solo artist, will be entering the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium, known as the mecca for concerts, nearly eight years after her solo debut.
Taeyeon is the first female singer to perform here both as a group and solo artist.
According to her agency SM Entertainment on the 5th, Taeyeon will hold 'TAEYEON CONCERT - The ODD Of LOVE' at the KSPO DOME (Gymnastics Stadium) in Seoul Olympic Park on June 3rd and 4th.
In particular, this concert is her fifth solo concert and the first one in about three years and five months since 'TAEYEON CONCERT - THE UNSEEN' in January 2020.
Taeyeon has held concerts every year since the release of her solo debut album 'I' on October 7, 2015, but has not been able to meet her fans for the past three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This time, she will take the stage at the Gymnastics Stadium, which can accommodate around 10,000 seats, drawing attention. This venue, known to host only artists with a strong fandom, has seen performances by famous female solo singers such as Patti Kim, BMK, Insooni, and IU. Taeyeon has become the fifth female solo artist to perform here.
Since her 2015 concert at COEX Artium (around 800 seats), Taeyeon has shown growth through performances at the Olympic Hall (around 3,000 seats) in 2016 and 2017, Kyunghee University's Peace Hall (around 4,500 seats) in 2017, Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium (around 6,000 seats each) in 2018 and 2019, and the Handball Stadium (around 5,000 seats each) in 2020.
Ticket reservations for this concert will be conducted through the online ticketing website YES24. The fan club pre-sale will open at 8 PM on the 12th, and general reservations will open at 8 PM on the 15th.
