Somi bursts in gratitude as she revealed on “Idol Radio” how BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jisoo gave her courage and strength as she worked on her latest music video.

The July 29 episode of “Idol Radio” features Somi as their guest after making a comeback with “What You Waiting For” as her title track. She shared on the show that Lisa and Jisoo visited her on the set of her music video.

Somi expressed that the visit made by her friends gave her strength. She said that most of her filmings are boring and lonely because she is filming alone, but since Lisa and Jisoo came over, she had someone to talk to and fill the set with laughter.

The singer also shared in the interview that Lisa and Jisoo are the two whom she is very thankful for. She explained that she doesn’t have any fellow members who will take photos of her, but as they came, they took pictures of her that made her very grateful.

Somi also talked that she recently signed with Universal Music Group’s label Interscope Records to expand her horizon to the US market. She revealed that the agency contacted her first after they saw her ‘Birthday’ promotions.

Furthermore, the singer was asked about her thoughts about being able to write her new song. Somi expressed that she poured everything into the lyrics. She also recalled being just a performer where she only receives already written songs for her to practice and perform. But as she explores another path that composes and writes lyrics, she considers the experience different and unique.

Somi also revealed in the interview why she cried during her comeback. She shared that the music she just released is very special to her. She also noted that it took too long to release her new track. It was wrapped up in February and was just released this month. Somi expressed that she burst into tears after the release.
