SEVENTEEN Tops Japanese Oricon Chart and Breaks Records with Over 4.55 Million Pre-orders
SEVENTEEN (members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) is sweeping Japan with over 4.55 million pre-orders.
According to the latest chart released by Japan's Oricon on May 2nd, SEVENTEEN's 10th mini-album 'FML' recorded sales of over 552,000 copies in its first week, securing the No. 1 spot on the Japanese Oricon Weekly Album Ranking (as of May 8th, covering the period from April 24th to 30th).
With this achievement, SEVENTEEN has now topped the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for a total of nine times, including five consecutive works: 9th mini-album 'Attacca', 4th full album 'Face the Sun', 4th full album repackage 'SECTOR 17', and their first Japanese EP 'DREAM.'
'FML' maintained its No. 1 position for five consecutive days on the Japanese Oricon Daily Album Ranking (from April 25th to 29th) and also topped major music sites LINE Music and AWA, causing a sensation on local charts in Japan.
SEVENTEEN became the only artist in the world to surpass 3 million sales on the first day of their album release with 'FML' and set a new record for the highest first-week sales in K-pop history with 4,552,014 copies.
