LE SSERAFIM Returns with an Expanded Universe: 'Our Unique Creations and Identity'
The group LE SSERAFIM (Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae) has returned with an extended story. While still focusing on their individuality, they are expanding the world of LE SSERAFIM by also addressing communication and solidarity. Their narrative of not being bound by the world's standards and moving forward is expected to captivate global fans once again.
LE SSERAFIM made their comeback with the release of their first full-length album 'UNFORGIVEN' at 6 PM on the 1st. Prior to the release, they held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 2 PM that day, revealing the performance of their new song 'UNFORGIVEN' to the press for the first time.
Once again, LE SSERAFIM delivered the story and stage they know best. They have been discussing "the confident me" since their debut album on May 2nd of last year. Their debut album 'FEARLESS' revealed their desire to become the best, while 'ANTIFRAGILE' showcased their determination to grow and become stronger as they face trials. This time, they are determined to pioneer a path unique to LE SSERAFIM.
Kim Chaewon said of the title track 'UNFORGIVEN,' "It's a song that combines hip-hop and punk rhythms. It's a different feeling from 'FEARLESS' and 'ANTIFRAGILE,'" adding, "I think it's a song that best showcases LE SSERAFIM's attitude towards the prejudices and evaluations of the world."
At the same time, they took a step further by focusing on 'me.' In their new album, they conveyed their determination to not care about others' evaluations and forge their own path as LE SSERAFIM. Going beyond the desires and trials discussed in their previous works, they now pay attention to 'us' and 'together.' They are expanding their story by adding a 'message of togetherness' and emphasizing communication and solidarity.
These stories of LE SSERAFIM are being completed as their unique messages and creations. Kim Chae-won said, "LE SSERAFIM's songs and concepts contain our stories and messages. We would appreciate it if you consider them as our unique creations."
She added, "There is definitely a sense of weight to a full-length album. There is a lyric in the title track 'UNFORGIVEN' that says 'You'll see. My true self.' We want to show what it means to be LE SSERAFIM through this promotion."
They have completed their narrative by adding their own identity to LE SSERAFIM's unique creations. Huh Yun-jin said, "I think honesty and naturalness are always necessary to be a great artist. We always strive to show our true selves as we are, from our debut album to the present, and to convey our messages through music. I believe that if each of us tells the story we know best, love and support will follow."
With their unique identity, LE SSERAFIM is expanding their story. Their confident future steps are highly anticipated.
