Apink's Heartfelt Handwritten Letters: 'Don't Listen to Sensationalized Stories'
The members of the group Apink have promised their fans that they will continue as a team even after the end of their exclusive contracts.
On April 28 (KST), Jung Eunji shared handwritten letters, written together with Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Kim Namjoo, and Oh Hayoung, on Weverse.
First, Jung Eunji reassured fans, saying, "Although change is always full of fear and lingering thoughts, since no one knows what the future holds, we just need to trust the time we've spent together and focus on living our present well."
She continued, "There may be reasons for those who talk about us in a sensational manner, but my people and I don't need to pay attention to such words." She added, "I truly cherish you all very much. Sincerely."
Moreover, in her handwritten letter, Jung Eunji emphasized, "I bet you were all surprised by the news, right? I decided to write this letter because I know that even fans who had some idea must feel worried about the changes. Meeting with the members and Pandas during this time of decision-making gave me certainty in my heart." She added, "As long as we stick together, nothing else will change. As promised on stage, Apink will always be Apink. Don't worry and continue to support us as Pandas. There won't be any regrets."
Park Chorong also shared, "I wanted to tell our surprised Pandas that we're still strong and that there's nothing to worry about. I believe our team, which has been built up step by step, has a unique love and sense of responsibility for both the members and the Pandas." She said, "We won't let go of the memories we've built up diligently. We'll try to meet with Pandas more often, so don't worry unnecessarily. We are still Apink! I am still Apink's leader, Chorong!"
Kim Namjoo stated, "I wanted to let you know as quickly as possible, faster than any other fact, that nothing has changed for us, Apink. As we've been shouting every day, Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, and Hayoung will still be Apink, and our activities will continue as they have been." She added, "We want to put in even more effort to make Apink's activities in a new environment and with new challenges more exciting and enjoyable for you. We will always be there for you."
Yoon Bomi said, "I know that you always worry about us, so I think you must have been very surprised. I believe that Pandas, who have been watching us for a long time, know better than anyone else how much we want to continue spending more time together as Apink." She continued, "It's a little scary and still hard to believe that we're saying goodbye to the company we've been with for 12 years, but I hope you'll support us as we slowly adapt to our new environment."
Lastly, Oh Hayoung shared, "After thinking about how we can preserve and protect our precious members, team, and fans for a long time, we found a place that we need and are grateful for. I want to express my gratitude to the many people who have worked hard for us so far." She added, "We plan to show you even more Apink-like music and activities, so please believe in and look forward to Apink now and in the future. Let's create more memories together."
IST Entertainment announced on the same day that they had signed a new contract with Jung Eun ji, while ending exclusive contracts with Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Kim Namjoo, and Oh Hayoung. Following this news, the four members announced that they have signed exclusive contracts with the new agency Choice Creative Lab.
