MONSTA X's Minhyuk Adapting Well During Military Service: 'Considering Becoming an Assistant Instructor'
MONSTA X's Minhyuk has updated Monbebes (fans) on his current status.
On April 26th, Minhyuk's handwritten letter was posted on MONSTA X's official fan cafe, revealing his experiences while serving in the military. Minhyuk wrote, "It's only been a few days, but it feels like quite a long time has passed. For the first 4-5 days, time seemed to stand still, but now I'm busy with various training sessions." He added that he is working hard every day with 40 other trainees to become the best squad, as he has been appointed as the squad leader.
Minhyuk continued, "I felt my hair was getting a bit long, so I borrowed the hands of my fellow trainees to shave it again. I managed to pass the shooting test by getting five shots in, even with a low passing rate, and earned some points. I'm adapting better than I expected and spending my time well."
Minhyuk reported that he has adjusted well to sleeping and eating, and has even visited the PX (store). He shared, "The instructors keep telling me to become an assistant instructor. I hadn't thought about it, but lately, I'm considering it a little."
He concluded his letter by expressing his hopes that it would help alleviate fans' waiting, promising to complete the remaining training without injury, and declaring his love for the fans. He signed the letter with "Lee Minhyuk, Trainee No. 49."
Meanwhile, Minhyuk, following MONSTA X's eldest member Shownu, enlisted in active duty on April 4th. Shownu was discharged on April 21st. With Minhyuk's absence, MONSTA X will continue their activities as a five-member group.
