Fearless Love Confessions: K-pop Celebrities Open Up About Their Ideal Partners
Dating rumors? Celebrities no longer seem to fear them. With fans generally supporting their favorite stars' love lives, celebrities are increasingly candid about their affections for fellow entertainers. Scandal, be gone!
#PyoYeJin-LeeJeHoon
Lee Je Hoon and Pyo Ye Jin starred as Kim Do Gi and Ahn Go Eun, respectively, in the recently concluded SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Model Taxi 2'. Throughout the series, Pyo Ye Jin lavished praise on her partner, Lee Je Hoon, earning extra points for being her ideal type.
During a recent appearance on the SBS variety show 'My Ugly Duckling,' Pyo Ye Jin admitted that working with her real-life crush, Lee Je Hoon, made her feelings for him grow even stronger. Lee Je Hoon also expressed his gratitude in a post-drama interview, hoping for a love line in 'Model Taxi' Season 3.
#BamBam-Nayeon
A potential idol couple within JYP Entertainment almost came to fruition but ultimately didn't work out. GOT7's BamBam confessed on his YouTube channel that he had a secret crush on TWICE's Nayeon, sparking massive buzz. TWICE's Jihyo even exclaimed, "You really don't hold back, do you?"
In the end, BamBam emphasized, "It's in the past tense. I 'had' a crush, not 'having' one." He added, "At that time, she was an older sister to me, and wouldn't your heart race if you bought her milk? I'm also human, so I can have a youthful drama-like experience."
#Jeongyeon-Wooyoung
TWICE's Jeongyeon also surprised fans with her candid confession of affection. During an appearance on KBS2TV's variety show 'HongKimDongJeon,' Jeongyeon said, "2PM's Wooyoung is cute," revealing her true feelings. Both stars are part of JYP Entertainment.
Jihyo revealed, "Jeongyeon has really liked Wooyoung since her trainee days." Wooyoung, who narrowly avoided a penalty thanks to Jeongyeon's decision, expressed his gratitude, while Jeongyeon seemed even happier. Wooyoung confessed, "I'll be the fertilizer in your lives," and Jeongyeon shyly replied, "Treat me to a meal sometime."
#GiantPink-LeeYongJin
Rapper Giant Pink expressed her passionate love for comedian Lee Yong Jin, although both incidents occurred in 2018, before they were married. At the time, Giant Pink appeared on a radio show and complained, "I've talked about him in every interview, but they never write articles about it. Lee Yong Jin is my absolute ideal type," practically inviting dating rumors.
"I love you. You have a fan who truly loves you. I don't know if you'd like a woman like me, but I really like you. If you can, please contact me," she confessed. However, Lee Yong Jin had been in a long-term relationship. In the end, both went on to establish their own relationships and families, leaving their confession as a memorable event.
