Le Sserafim Cancels 'Knowing Bros' Arrival Event Following Moonbin's Tragic Passing
The group Le Sserafim has canceled their arrival event for 'Knowing Bros' in light of Astro member Moonbin's sudden death.
A JTBC official told News1 on April 20 (KST), "Le Sserafim has canceled their arrival event prior to the recording of 'Knowing Bros' at the JTBC building in Sangam-dong, Seoul this afternoon."
"Knowing Bros" guests usually hold an event where they are photographed by the press before recording. However, due to Moonbin's passing, Le Sserafim has decided to cancel the event and proceed with the recording quietly.
Moonbin was found dead at his residence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 8:10 pm on the 19th. The police suspect that he took his own life and are currently considering an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Fantagio Music, Moonbin's agency, expressed their condolences through their SNS account early on the 20th, stating, "In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible with the attendance of family, relatives, and company colleagues." They added, "Once again, we send our deepest condolences on his final journey."
Born in 1998, Moonbin made his debut as a child actor in the KBS 2TV drama 'Boys Over Flowers' in 2009. In 2016, he stepped into the music industry as a member of the boy group Astro and was active until recently. His younger sister, Moon Sua, is also a member of the girl group Billlie.
Moonbin's funeral hall is set up at Seoul Asan Hospital, and the funeral procession is scheduled for the 22nd.
