On April 12, soloist Lee Chaeyeon revealed her new album, "Over The Moon," marking her return to the music scene. Six months after her solo debut, she is back with a new album featuring five tracks, including the title track, "KNOCK." The song features catchy and repetitive hooks, energetic beats, and rhythmic vocals.

The lyrics convey Chaeyeon's ambition to become an unparalleled "K-pop Diva," with the message, "I will tap your heart first without waiting."

Chaeyeon also released the music video for the lead song, capturing attention for her portrayal of a "Wanna Be" person and the enticing high-teen-movie-like concept showcasing upgraded performance and music.

Chaeyeon Addresses Perception of Diminished Popularity Since IZ*ONE

With her latest album, Chaeyeon aims to solidify her solo career, moving away from her image as the former main dancer of IZ*ONE.

Chaeyeon debuted with IZ*ONE in 2018 and became one of the most popular third-generation girl groups. She gained immense popularity, earning the nickname "Feather Chaeyeon" for her exceptional dancing skills.

After IZ*ONE's disbandment in 2021, Chaeyeon pursued her solo activities and officially debuted as a solo artist in 2022 with her album "HUSH RUSH."

During a recent showcase at Yes24 Live Hall celebrating her new album's release, Chaeyeon confidently and wittily addressed questions about her career.

When some reporters mentioned that her solo activities' popularity seemed to lag behind IZ*ONE's, Chaeyeon responded: "I don't think I'm firmly positioned as a solo artist yet. Since it's only my second album, I want to establish myself as a singer who is loved by a lot by releasing many albums as a solo artist in the future."

Chaeyeon also shared her thoughts on making a comeback as a solo singer amid the rise of girl groups like IVE, NewJeans, and LE SSERAFIM, where her former IZ*ONE members have redebuted.

Instead of viewing it as competition, Chaeyeon humbly stated: "I think there are a lot of songs to listen to these days. Many people are releasing a lot of good songs, so I am getting good synergy and being influenced by them. I think I can differentiate myself with my performance in it."
