Hyun Bin's Heartwarming Return to Japan After 5 Years Creates a Buzz and Showcases His Hallyu Star Power
South Korean actor Hyun Bin has once again proven his Hallyu star power during a recent visit to Japan, his first in five years. On April 10, Hyun Bin arrived in Japan to attend a preview event for the "Hyun Bin Special Edition" by high-end Italian lifestyle brand Loro Piana, for which he serves as an ambassador. His last visit to the country was in 2017 for a fan meeting event.
Hyun Bin's popularity in Japan has soared since the success of the tvN drama "Crash Landing on You." As proof, a large number of fans gathered at Haneda Airport on April 10 to welcome him. For safety reasons, the airport arranged a separate exit route, where Hyun Bin greeted and interacted with his fans.
On April 11, nearly 1,000 fans flocked to Ginza Street in Tokyo, where Loro Piana's flagship store is located, creating a massive crowd. Japanese media outlets eagerly reported on Hyun Bin's visit, and news of the event quickly rose to the top of Japanese social media trends, demonstrating the intense interest surrounding the actor.
During the preview event, Hyun Bin expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, "I am happy to visit Japan after five years and to be able to meet my fans at the airport. I'm even more delighted to greet them through this wonderful project." Local media praised Hyun Bin's thoughtful attitude towards his fans, dubbing it a "special fan service" that sparked explosive reactions.
In other news, Hyun Bin married actress Son Ye-jin last year, and the couple has one son together.
