BIGHIT MUSIC Addresses Reports on BTS J-Hope's Military Enlistment Date and Location
BIGHIT MUSIC has provided a response to recent media reports about the enlistment date and location for BTS member J-Hope's military service.
On April 13, Korean news outlet News1 published an article that claimed J-Hope would begin his military service on April 18 at a military camp in Gangwon-do. The report also stated that after completing five weeks of training, J-Hope would be dispatched to his assigned troop. To ensure safety, the specific details of his enlistment ceremony will not be publicly disclosed.
In response to these reports, BIGHIT MUSIC issued a statement, explaining that the agency is unable to confirm the specific details about J-Hope's enlistment and requested everyone's understanding: "Regarding J-Hope's enlistment date and its location, it's difficult for the agency to confirm these details. With this, we kindly ask for your understanding."
J-Hope's military enlistment was officially announced on Weverse on April 1, where it was revealed that he would serve as an active-duty soldier. The agency also encouraged fans to support J-Hope during his military service and warned against the illegal use of the idol's intellectual property (IP) for purchasing unauthorized packages or tours.
In the full statement, BIGHIT MUSIC addressed J-Hope's enlistment and emphasized the importance of avoiding overcrowding during the enlistment ceremony, which will only be attended by family members and military personnel. The agency also urged fans not to purchase unauthorized product packages or tours using the artist's IP and assured them that they would take immediate action against any commercial activity involving such IP.
On February 26, J-Hope canceled his military enlistment postponement, and BIGHIT Music confirmed that the process for his enlistment had begun. The agency promised to provide more updates in the future.
Following the enlistment news, BIGHIT Music announced J-Hope's solo music release, "On the Street (with J. Cole)," which was released on March 3. While many fans were excited about the new content, some expressed their desire for a full album from BIGHIT MUSIC before J-Hope's military enlistment.
