In simultaneous timing with BLACKPINK's forthcoming album reveal, one member of the femme fatale has reached another meaningful achievement for her solo track called 'SOLO.'
On July 28 (Tuesday), the 24-year-old South Korean idol's first single, SOLO, surpasses the 500-million mark on Youtube. Per Hellokpop, Jennie's noteworthy feat makes her the first female Korea solo artist to reach the soaring level of Youtube views. The achievement comes after a year and nine months since the 'SOLO's' release on November 12, 2018.
The intensely pleasurable news led the BLACKPINK member to post a series of photos and videos on her personal Instagram account, celebrating her milestone. The images and videos are her way of remembering 'SOLO's' beginnings, which comes with a thank you caption dedicated to her fans and production team.
"I'm so grateful for all the love for SOLO," Jennie wrote, then adding to reveal that she will share an "unreleased video" of the track's music video making as a surprise gift. "Thank you," she added.
In a Republic World report, 'SOLO's' music video showcases Jennie's peculiar transformation from an introverted woman into a bold artist.
