Cho Seung Woo To Fight Against Bae Doona In 'Forest Of Secrets' Season 2
Cho Seung Woo expresses his excitement and happiness as he returns to his role again as Hwang Si Mok with tvN's "Forest of Secrets" return in its second season.
The emotionless prosecutor Hwang Si Mok will be reuniting with the warm-hearted police officer Han Yeo Jin (Bae Doona) in the second season. The two will be on the opposite side of a tense situation involving the police and the prosecutor's office, wrote Soompi.
Cho Seung Woo said that he had been waiting for the opportunity, and can't contain his happiness about beginning the second season. The actor also shared how he accepted playing a role for the first season, saying that he fell in love with the drama story as he read the script for the first two episodes. He noted that the second season's story is excellent as well, and he is very excited to be coming back.
"Forest of Secrets" season 2 will follow the changes that Hwang Si Mok has went through in the two years since the events of the first season, with the biggest being that his time in Tongyeong has ended and he has been called into the Supreme Prosecutor's Office.
Cho Seung Woo was asked what hasn't changed in his character. The actor responded that it's the character's outlook on a world of irrationality and crime. The role of Hwang Si Mok continues to walk down his path, focusing on the tasks given to him and by living the rule of law. "He won't stay silent and will continue to seek the truth."
Being surprised that the character of Hwang Si Mok and Han Yeo Jin will be moving on opposite sides, Cho Seung Woo said that he was astonished by the unexpected turn of events. He continued expressing his excitement to see what kind of stance Hwang Si Mok and Han Yeo Jin will be showing regarding the conflict between two sides.
Moreover, the actor noted that Hwang Si Mok and Han Yeo Jin's chemistry will be strong in the next season and is something to look out for.
The next exciting chapter of "Forest of Secrets" will premiere on August 15 at 9 PM KST and is set to follow up "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
