Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, Lee Do-hyun and Lim Ji-yeon: Couples Who Found Love on Drama Sets
A new celebrity couple has emerged as actors Lee Do-hyun and Lim Ji-yeon, who recently starred together in the Netflix series "The Glory," confirmed their romantic relationship.
On the 1st, following a report that Lim Ji-yeon and Lee Do-hyun were dating, Im Ji-yeon's agency Artist Company told OSEN, "The two are cautiously getting to know each other while having good feelings in a close senior-junior relationship. We would appreciate your warm support."
On the same day, Lee Do-hyun's agency also confirmed the relationship, stating, "The two developed feelings for each other and are cautiously getting to know one another."
In "The Glory," the couple demonstrated impressive performances in their respective roles, with Lim Ji-yeon playing Joo Ye-jeong, a troublemaker who dances with a knife, and Lee Do-hyun as Park Yeon-jin, who is left with lifelong scars due to school violence. Although their characters were enemies in the series, they have become allies in love in reality.
The public is showing increased interest in other couples who found love through their work, such as Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary yesterday (31st). The couple first met on the set of the 2018 film "The Negotiation." They had no scenes together in the film, but they grew close as they were both born in 1982 and promoted the film together. They later starred in the 2019 romantic drama "Crash Landing on You," which washed away any lingering romantic regrets. The two were swept up in dating rumors several times after the drama ended, and in January 2021, they acknowledged their relationship and got married the following March.
Another successful acting couple, Lee Bo-young and Ji Sung, met on the set of the 2004 SBS drama "Save the Last Dance for Me" and began dating in 2007. After nearly seven years of dating, the couple got married in September 2014.
Other acting couples who have found love on set include Jang Shin-young and Kang Kyung-joon, who met on JTBC's "Thorny Flower" and got married; Choi Won-young and Shim Yi-young, who met on MBC's "A Hundred Year Legacy" and became a remarried couple; Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon, who met on MBC's weekend drama "Happy Home" and became a real-life couple; and Ryu Soo-young and Park Ha-sun, who met on MBC's drama "Two Weeks" and later got married.
