BTS V and 'Parasite' Actor Choi Woo-shik Boost Sales to New Record at 'Seojin's Place' Restaurant
Seojin's Place, a restaurant featured on tvN's show of the same name, has seen a significant increase in sales, surpassing 10,000 pesos in daily revenue. The recent surge in customers is attributed to the appearances of BTS member V and "Parasite" actor Choi Woo-shik.
During a previous episode, the owner Lee Seo-jin had expressed frustration over the low number of customers. However, the tides turned as a group of male patrons recognized Choi Woo-shik from the movie "Parasite." Their excitement drew in more customers, resulting in a packed restaurant.
Seojin's Place remained open on a day when other establishments closed, attracting a record-breaking crowd. The restaurant's success left Lee Seo-jin with a deep dimple from smiling. The production team and other cast members noticed and commented on the correlation between the number of customers and the depth of his dimple.
Actress Jung Yu-mi remarked on the stark contrast between the owner's demeanor when the restaurant was empty and when it was bustling. Other cast members, including Park Seo-jun, were amazed by the increase in business. Customers expressed their amazement at seeing global celebrities like V from BTS and Park Seo-jun, who is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel film "The Marvels," working at the restaurant.
Despite the hard work, the staff at Seojin's Place enjoyed a swim in the evening and prepared for the next day. As soon as the restaurant opened, it was immediately filled with customers, foreshadowing another day of high sales. In response to the employees' declaration of a strike, Lee Seo-jin made the magnanimous decision to allow them a half-day off the following morning.
While the employees enjoyed their time off at the beach and lake, Lee Seo-jin went shopping alone, jokingly questioning where they found the energy to have fun after complaining about being exhausted.
