BTS, BLACKPINK Get Multiple Nominations For 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards
BTS and BLACKPINK, both mega K-pop bands, have earned numerous nominations for the iHeartRadio Music Awards this year. The full list of nominees for 2023 was announced recently.
BLACKPINK received nominations in four different categories, including Best Duo/Group of the Year, as well as in the three categories that are socially voted, which include Best Music Video, Favorite Use of a Sample, and Best Fan Army.
BTS got nominations in two categories, the same socially voted ones where BLACKPINK received nominations too, including Best Fan Army and Favorite Use of a Sample.
Meanwhile, the youngest member aka Golden maknae of BTS, Jungkook bagged a solo nomination for his collab with Charlie Puth "Left and Right" in the Best Music Video category.
The other contenders for the category of Best Duo/Group of the Year include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parmalee, OneRepublic, Måneskin, Imagine Dragons, Glass Animals, Silk Sonic, Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas, and AJR.
BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" is nominated for the Favorite Use of a Sample award, which sampled "Kick In The Door" by Biggie, "Pon de Replay" by Rihanna, and "P.I.M.P" by 50 Cent.
"Pink Venom" is also going to be a competitor in the Best Music Video category against Charlie Puth and Jungkook's "Left and Right", Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero", Rema and Selena Gomez's "Calm Down", "As It Was" by Harry Styles, Tiësto & Karol G's "Don't be Shy", "DON'T YOU WORRY" by Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, and Shakira, Anitta's "Envolver" and Bad Bunny's "Tití Me Preguntó".
Also, the BTS ARMY and BLACKPINK's BLINKS will not only be having a face-off against each other but against the fans of Taylor Swift, Big Time Rush, Selena Gomez, Louis Tomlinson, Rihanna, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé in the category of the Best Fan Army award.
The 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place on March 27 at 8 PM ET. The social voting will start on January 11 and go on until March 20. You can vote for your favorite artist for this year's award show here. The full list of nominees can be seen here.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards will be held in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre this year. The tickets for the general public will go live on Wednesday, February 15 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET at Ticketmaster.com. The show will also be broadcast live on Fox.
