Mega K-pop girls' group BLACKPINK is currently on its second world tour called "Born Pink" following the release of its second album, after which their tour takes its name.

The "Born Pink" tour started on October 15 2022 and will continue well into next year. It will take the four band members, namely Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé nearly all over the globe as the shows are slated in cities in Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia.

At present, the group is conducting their North American leg of the tour, which is nearly ending, with just two more shows to go at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on November 19 and 20.

The K-pop group has been setting new records with the "Born Pink" tour, and now BLACKPINK holds the record for the highest-grossing concert in the US by a female band.

The quartet set this new record with their show at the Prudential Center in Newark on November 14-15, which grossed around $3.298 million each night. It is the first time in history that a girl band has earned more than 3 million in a single arena concert in the US. To top it, they achieved this feat not once but twice, on two consecutive nights in a row.

If that was not all, BLACKPINK also sold out 55,000 tickets for their Taiwan show in seconds. The concert, which is going to take place at the Kaohsiung National Museum, will be held on March 18, 2023.

On November 8, which was the first phase of ticket sales, where only fans with membership could request their ticket, all available seats had a sellout in less than 1 minute.

More tickets were released the next day, but they too sold out in seconds, as per Live Nation Taiwan's official website. Taiwanese media outlets also reported on BLACKPINK's success in the country which led to sold-out tickets.

Meanwhile, the "Born Pink" tour has reaffirmed BLACKPINK's status as a global mega band. The interesting fact is that the group does not have an extensive repertoire of songs, considering that they have only two albums and solo songs, but their concerts are still the most popular.

It goes on to show the magnitude of their star power and stage presence, which cements their place as bonafide superstars.
