Korean actress Gong Hyo Jin and singer Kevin Oh are all set to tie the knot on October 11 (October 12 KST) in New York, United States. The couple will have a private wedding ceremony, away from everyone's eyes.
The actress's agency, Management SOOP shared the details of her wedding, saying that she will be surrounded by family and friends. According to reports, Uhm Ji Won and Jung Ryeo Won, who are the bride-to-be's close friends, are going to be present during the ceremony to lend their support and love to the actress.
Gong Hyo Jin has been in a relationship with Kevin Oh since 2020. The buzz around the relationship started after Kevin Oh invited the actress and her friends to his shows. Gong Hyo Jin once also shared an Instagram post where she was listening to his song "Anytime, Anywhere", raising suspicion among fans, however, the rumors soon died down. Now that fans have started to look back and delve deeper they have found out that the pair used to post photos from similar locations.
Earlier in 2022, Gong Hyo Jin attended the wedding of her close friend Son Ye Jin, who got married to Hyun Bin. At the ceremony, Hyo Jin caught the bouquet at the end of the rituals, which caused more rumors to fly around her love life.
Soon, the actress's agency confirmed that she was indeed in a relationship but that there were no wedding plans. It was on August 17 that SOOP gave the confirmation that Hyo Jin was going to marry Kevin Oh, however, the rest of the details were not disclosed. Later on, Kevin Oh shared an update with his fans where he informed them that the pair would have the wedding ceremony in his hometown with a small fall celebration.
Now it is clear that the duo decided to have the wedding in New York as Kevin Oh, who is a Korean-American, is a native of Long Island and spent his youth there.
The 32-year-old singer is a graduate of the Ivy League university Dartmouth College.
