Kim Jong Kook Launches YouTube Channel, Gains Silver Button Eligibility In Just A Few Hours
Kim Jong Jook finally opened his own YouTube channel, and as anyone can already guess, the content is about gym workouts. His new channel has been aptly named Gym Jong Kook, and as soon as it was published, it already gained more than 200,000 subscribers!
It was amazing as the number grew to this volume in just a few hours after the channel's launch. What's more, he became eligible for the silver button for uploading just one video, and it is an introductory video too. Currently, Kim Jong Kook's channel already has 1.6 million views a day after his very first video was uploaded.
Allkpop mentioned that Gym Jong Kook was able to secure over 100,000 subscribers in just half a day, so it was really impressive. Commonly, content creators need days or even months before they can get this number of subscribers, so even Kim Jong Kook himself was impressed.
In any case, the singer and variety show star created his YouTube channel on June 17, and it went live at exactly 6 p.m. that day. In his intro speech, he said he would be uploading videos about workout and physical training plans.
As translated by Soompi, Kim Jong Kook said, "I dared to open my own YouTube channel. I'll work hard so that this can become a channel in which we can communicate together and share a variety of content for a long time in the future and rather than evaluate me based on the body you see, I hope that you will evaluate me based on my sincerity and consistency when it comes to exercise!"
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook regularly appears on variety shows such as Running Man, My Little Old Boy, and I Can Hear Your Voice. There are also times when he appears as a guest on other shows and dramas for minor roles.
