Park Seo Joon Reportedly In Talks To Star In MCU Movie 'The Marvels'
Park Seo Joon is reportedly joining the cast of Marvel Cinematic Universe's The Marvels flick, which is the sequel to Captain Marvel. According to industry insiders, the 32-year-old South Korean actor will be heading to the United States once he finishes filming for the movie called Concrete Utopia.
Park Seo Joon is starring in this film alongside Lee Byung Hun, who already appeared in Hollywood movies. Also in the cast of this disaster-thriller film directed by Um Tae Hwa is popular actress Park Bo Young.
In any case, filming for The Marvels is said to begin in the second half of this year. If confirmed, Park Seo Joon will be the second Korean actor to star in a Marvel film. Ma Dong Seok is in the upcoming Eternals movie alongside Angelina Jolie, Kit Harrington, Millie Bobby Brown, Richard Madden, and more.
For The Marvels, the handsome actor will be acting alongside Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris. The Captain Marvel sequel will be directed by Nia DaCosta.
As per Star News, Park Seo Joon previously caught the eye of director Nia. She expressed interest in him by posting his picture on her social media. Along with his photo, the director who also helmed the reboot of Candy Man wrote in the caption "Drama Boyfriend."
With that, it was suggested that director Nia DaCosta may have seen the actor in Itaewon Class and may have thought of him when they were casting for the new MCU movie that is set to be released on Nov. 11, 2022, in the U.S.
Finally, in a new update, Allkpop reported that Park Seo Joon's agency, Awesome ENT, did not confirm the star's participation in The Marvels yet. The only response that the company gave to media outlets as of this time was the simple "No comment."
