INFINITE's Kim Sung Kyu did not renew his contract with Woollim Entertainment, and it was revealed that he had joined Double H Entertainment. On Monday, June 14, the company released a short statement announcing the 32-year-old's move to the agency.

"After long discussions with Sung Kyu, we have decided to work together," Allkpop quoted Double H Entertainment's representative as saying. "We will do our best to support his career from all aspects."

The INFINITE leader will now share the same agency with SG Wannabe's Kim Yong Joon and rookie actor Lee Sang Joon. They are the main artists that are being managed by Double H Entertainment now.

The agency is operating under Lee Hoon Seok's leadership, a former director at Woollim Entertainment. Together with BM Entertainment and R&D Company, it has recently merged with MOMOLAND's agency, MLD Entertainment.

In any case, Kim Sung Kyu is the latest INFINITE member to leave Woollim after co-member Lee Sungyeol signed with L's agency, Management 2sang, just last week. The group's youngest member, Lee Sungjong, decided to stay and renewed his contract at the same time when Sungyeol left.

Kim Sung Kyu debuted as part of the 7-member boy group, INFINITE. He is the band's leader who was also able to debut as a solo artist while promoting with the team. He released his solo mini-album and has been active on variety shows.

INFINITE recently held a special V Live broadcast as the members celebrate their 11th anniversary. They expressed their gratitude to fans who have been supporting them for more than a decade now. However, only Sung Kyu, Sungyeol, Dongwoo, and Sungjong were able to gather for the live streaming as Nam Woohyun and L are serving in the army while Hoya already withdrew from the group in 2017.

Meanwhile, the idol singer has more projects as a musical actor. In fact, Koreaboo reported that he had been cast in the Gwanghwamun Sonata that is set to premiere in July. Kim Sung Kyu will be playing Wolha in the said musical play.
