Choi Jin Hyuk, Park Ju Hyun And Other Cast Of ‘Zombie Detective’ Immerse On Their Roles During First Script Reading
KBS 2TV's upcoming drama "Zombie Detective" has released updates on the cast's first script reading.
According to Soompi, "Zombie Detective" is a "human comedy" about a zombie who becomes a detective. The upcoming series will be produced by the variety department at KBS, behind the hit dramas "The Producers," and "Go Back Couple."
The drama will be directed by the co-director of "The Producers"- Shim Jae Hyun and penned by Baek Eun Jin.
The cast of the new drama, together with its crews, gathered for its first script-reading. The director thanked all the actors and said that he would do his best to make the series they are about to make a memorable one. Jokingly, he said that he hopes to finish the drama without being bitten by zombies.
Choi Jin Hyuk will become a handsome zombie named Kim Moo Young in the drama, who lost his memory and turns into a detective after fixing his inarticulate speech and awkward gait. During the script reading, the actor said that he enjoyed the story of the drama, and he is committed to doing his best in performing his role well.
Park Ju Hyun, will be taking the role of a writer of an investigative journalism program named Gong Seon Ji. After leaving her work in shock, she met the zombie detective Kim Moo Young and began working with him. The actress said that it is an honor to be part of the fantastic cast of the drama and promised to do her best in her portrayal.
As the script reading went on, the actors submerged to the identity of their roles, and both Park Ju Hyun and Choi Jin Hyuk worked perfectly together. The chemistry of the two was said to be fantastic based on how they immersed in their scripts.
Other cast includes Kown Hwa Woon, who will play the violent crime detective named Cha Do Hyun, while Hwang Bo Ra and Ahn Se Ha will play as a couple named Gong Sun Young and Lee Tae Kyun.
Additionally, Tae Hang Ho will play the role of Lee Seong Rok, who owns a detective agency, while Lee Jung Ok will play a Korean employee named Want Wei, and Park Dong Bin will be playing as Hwang Chun Seop, who becomes a team leader of the violent crime team.
Other casts who will add spice to the show include Lim Seo Joo, who will play Gong Seon Ji's friend who owns an intestine restaurant, and Bae Yoo Ram, who will be taking an exceptional performance as a producer of a broadcasting station.
The "Zombie Detective" will be mesmerizing viewers in the second half of this year.
