Ex-UNB Member Marco Denies Dating Reports With MOMOLAND’s Hyebin
Marco, a former member of the UNB, denied the dating reports with MOMOLAND's Hyebin. He allegedly did this through a chat group being managed by fans.
MLD Entertainment, Hyebin's agency, just confirmed to the media that it is true its artist is currently dating. The confirmation comes after the couple's dating news broke out on Monday, May 17.
"We have checked with Hyebin herself, and it is true that Hyebin and Marco are dating," the agency told Newsen. "However, because it is their private life, it is difficult to reveal any specifics."
On the other hand, the day before the reports were published, Marco was said to have entered a chat group on KakaoTalk called the godokbang. This is said to be a type of open group chat rooms where fans are only allowed to post photos, and even when people want to say something, they post text in photos, but for the artists, they are free to interact in simple texts.
He was said to have logged in to this chat room to deny he is dating MOMOLAND's Hyebin. Screenshots of his posts were circulated online, and fans accused him of lying.
Hyebin and Marco were first rumored to be in a relationship as early as 2019. People often see them with couple items, and photos posted on social media showed the same locations where they have been.
But with the translated texts published by Koreaboo, Marco tried hard to refute the dating news. He directly told fans it is not true he is in a relationship, then explained the reason he visited the chat room was to tell them not to worry and let them know what the truth is.
He added that he is actually upset over the rumors and denied having couple items with MOMOLAND's Hyebin. Marco specifically mentioned the couple rings and told fans he does not have that kind of ring since he was born.
He tried very hard to convince the fans, but not everyone believes him because of the overwhelming proof. Furious fans accused Marco of lying and posted photos of him and Hyebin wearing couple items, including rings, shirts, jackets, and hats, and these proved that the singer was trying to deceive them.
In the latest update, Marco posted a message of apology for his denial. He admitted to being in the chat room and said he is at fault for trying to put fans at ease and calm their worries by telling lies. For his disappointing behavior, he also said that he would reflect on his actions.
