Lee Da Hee In Talks As The Female Lead For The Upcoming Drama 'Island'
Lee Da Hee announces that she might be starring in an upcoming drama, 'Island.'
On May 17, Sports Donga reported that Lee Da Hee had been cast as the female lead of the upcoming drama 'Island,' this is the role Seo Ye Ji previously talks about. The producers of the drama reportedly pinpointed that Lee Da Hee is the optimal fit for the position.
Lee Da Hee appreciated the decision and the quality of the production. Her agency, Santa Claus Entertainment, clarified to the news site Newsen that Lee Da Hee received an offer to star in 'Island' and positively reviewing the proposal.
Kin Nam Gil is now confirmed to play the male lead, Pan. ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo is currently in talks for a role in the drama. Seo Ye Ji had been the previous female lead Won Mi Ho, but she withdrew from the drama after being caught in a controversy.
It was reported last April 12 when Dispatch published a report that shows a comparison between the drama's original script and the version that the show broadcasted. The media outlet also reported that Kim Jung Hyun received orders to do from Seo Ye Ji, his girlfriend, during the drama's filming.
The agency received many questions about the education of Seo Ye Ji and took the opportunity to share the facts. Seo Ye Ji had been enrolled at the Complutense University of Madrid in Madrid.
However, after starting her activities in Korea, she was not able to attend the university. The public also raised another concern regarding the suspicions of school violence, but the agency informed the people that they are entirely false.
Based on Sports Danga, the first season of the drama will be aired by the end of this year, according to the original plan. It is also reported that the production will begin filming this summer or if the casting is finalized.
