BTS Grammy Performance Now Available Online For Fans To Watch
BTS achieved new successes in their career after releasing "Dynamite" last year. They even obtained their first Grammy nomination for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category because of it.
Aside from being virtually present because of their nomination, they had the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills on stage for the awards night. They performed the iconic song during the ceremony, which they did in South Korea due to the COVID-19.
Fans who tuned in at the original broadcast last March and the witnessed the stunning performance of the septet. However, no official uploads of the act have since been publicized on platforms until earlier this week.
Cheat Sheet reported that their "spectacular rendition" of "Dynamite" is now available for everyone to watch on YouTube. As it happened, the official channel of BTS on the platform uploaded the video on Wednesday.
The seven K-Pop idols wore colorful suits for the performance. They, also, had a stage set up that resembled the Grammy Awards' set in Los Angeles.
The video has since obtained more than 11.9 million views and 2.1 million likes. Over 142,000 comments, also, emerged on the platform as netizens shared their praises toward the septet.
Despite the popularity and anticipation among the public, BTS did not win the category. Even so, they seemingly had a great time and shared all about it in their special feature episode of Let's BTS.
During the interview, the K-Pop idols revealed what they felt about their nomination, as well as the performance. RM began that "it was the most surprising moment" of his life, adding that they did not expect it at all.
The septet, also, stated that their parents' hearts "skipped a beat" when they heard it on the news. J-Hope consequently noted that his grandmother even talked about it.
Later in the same interview, the members of BTS revealed that they had regrets for not winning the award. Nevertheless, RM argued that they "rationalized" what happened and focused on the fact that they were able to perform solo on stage at the Grammys.
Weeks after the Grammy event, several speculations have emerged regarding the group's comeback for this year. Koreaboo said that Big Hit Music seemingly confirmed the rumored upcoming album for May.
In an official statement, the label explained that the plans of the septet "will be revealed once everything has been finalized." Accordingly, this has only proven that they are already working on something for their future releases. (Business Times)
