Kim Hye Joon and Oh Na Ra's Bond In 'Chip-In' Radiates On And Off The Camera
MBC's "Chip-In" unveils new stills ahead of its premiere, showing the mother-daughter relationship between Yoo Bit Na (Kim Hye Joon) and Kim Ji Hye (Oh Na Ra).
Per KDramaStars, "Chip-In" is a black comedy-mystery drama that follows nine people as they gather at the home of a well-renowned artist. The gathering was set for the guests expecting an inheritance from the artist.
Among the people who are hoping for an inheritance, Yoo Bit Na appears to be different among the rest. Yoo Bit Na's personality is independent and ambitious. Even in her studies as a college student, she finds ways to pay her tuition and provide for herself's daily expenses. Among the nine, she is the least who is interested in the treasures from her father.
Meanwhile, the mother of Yoo Bit Na (artist's mistress) is like the others who only wish to get the artist's money. And knowing her mother's ambitions, Yoo Bit Na doesn't want to go with her in her father's house because she finds the act pathetic.
In one of the stills released by "Chip-In," it portrays an image of a mother showing concern to Yoo Bit Na's wound on her right palm. The scene happened the day after they arrived in Yoo Bit Na's father's house that made Kim Ji Hye angry.
According to the production team of "Chip-In," there will be a threat coming for Yoo Bit Na after they arrive in the artist's house in which the mystery will begin. There will be many mysterious things that will take place in the drama series, including finding the culprit of the threats and who will get the inheritance.
The set's production staff attested to the excellent showmanship of the two characters in the new show, showing good resemblance and portrayal as mother and daughter.
The new drama will highlight how the Yoo Bit Na and Kim Ji Hye will manage to survive while staying in the house of the artist and how their bond as mother and daughter will develop even more through the different circumstances that they are going to take. [per Soompi]
Both the artists of "Chip-In," became closer even behind the camera; they also follow each other's social media accounts. Oh Na Ra joked that their chemistry could win the "Best Couple Award" at the MBC Drama Awards.
"Chip-In" will air on July 22 at 9:30 PM, KST.
