BTS Suga collects a YouTube gem
With no hesitations, South Korean K-pop idol Suga's music video for his solo song titled Daechwita surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. The gem comes in handy on March 1 (Monday), around 11 PM, following South Korea's time zone.
Daechwita is the title track for Suga's second mixtape entitled D-2, which was released under his alter ego's name Agust D. To date, the track's mesmerizing and jaw-dropping music video has 200 million views on the worldwide video streaming platform.
Furthermore, Daechwita is the starting YouTube gem of Suga, of which fans know that if their idol releases more solo crafts, the list will carry on.
It only took BTS Suga nine months and seven days to achieve the feat since the music video was uploaded on Big Hit Labels' official YouTube channel on May 22, 2020, at 6 PM KST.
Bits of BTS Suga's 'Daechwita' music video
Before hitting the impressive 200-million-mark on YouTube, the said music video surpassed the 100-million-mark on July 4 last year.
Moreover, the music video was graced by Suga's fellow BTS members Jungkook and Jin, taking inspiration from the 2012 movie titled Masquerade.
The movie had a double king for King Gwanghae, who takes the throne while the master recovers from being intoxicated. In Daechwita, Agust D plays the role of the king and his double.
Suga blurted out the music video's setup and its theme on the behind-the-scenes video where he said that the king represents the old Agust D, while the double is the new one.
Indeed, BTS Suga is the real example of an artist, coinciding passion into his artwork. Check out the music video of Daechwita placed above!
