When K-pop idols are discovered dating another celebrity, Korea's general public usually expresses disappointment over their idols' choices, mostly opposing the relationship.

However, it is much worse for celebrities who are caught seeing or dating non-celebrity people. Fans can not genuinely think and believe that their idols are open to anyone outside the entertainment world or spotlight.

Below are two celebrities who have made the impossible and pursued non-celebrities:

2PM's Taecyeon

A source disclosed last June 23 that 2PM Taecyeon is seeing a non-celebrity."Taecyeon's girlfriend is a common company employee of 29 years, and they've been dating steadily for around three years now. Taecyeon and his girlfriend are a couple who managed to show and prove each other's love even though he was in the army." the source confirmed.

Later on, Taecyeon apologized to his fans because of the sudden news and asked them to support him with his life decisions and thanked everyone who understood him and his situation.

Although the idol did not receive a lot of hate, the news did create a buzz in the industry.

EXO's Chen

In January, Chen of EXO hit the headlines and received mixed backlashes and criticisms after announcing that he's engaged with her non-celebrity girlfriend at that time.

SM Entertainment verified the report, saying: "Chen has partnered with someone dear to him and is planning to get married. The bride is a non-celebrity, and the marriage ceremony will take place privately, attended only by their relatives."

Some supporters ended up feeling deceived by this announcement and branded him "inconsiderate" to get his girlfriend pregnant before getting married.

A couple of fans went so far as to demand that Chen leave EXO. Some supporters came to the rescue, urging Chen to forget the "spiteful" remarks and consider that other fans still love him and even send him their undying support.

That same girlfriend is now his wife and has given birth to their first child.
