iKON’s Bobby Finally Unveils His Highly-Anticipated Solo Comeback
iKON's Bobby, who previously sang the episode 4 ending OST of the tvN drama Record of Youth, is coming back as a solo artist for the first time in three years and four months.
Last year, iKon Bobby became a mystery singer of the new track of the tvN drama, Record of Youth. tvN then asked viewers to guess who sang it. After the reveal, fans were mesmerized by the promising singer's captivating voice, fit for the mood of the drama.
Bobby Updating His Career As A Solo Artist
YG Entertainment dropped the BOBBY - COMING SOON TEASER on Jan 15 at 9 am KST on its social media accounts.
Bobby is overlooking the Han River in the video from the roof of a tall building. As he runs towards the edge, he is exuding charisma. The intense dynamic scenery and background music of the 27-seconds long video clip skyrocket the fans' expectations for his comeback.
Bobby's Rising Career Through Humble Beginnings
Meanwhile, through Mnet's WHO IS NEXT: WIN in 2013, Bobby showed off his unique music sense. He then took the trophy from Mnet's Show Me The Money 3 the next year and officially debuted as a member of iKON in 2015.
Recently, the male idol collaborated with WINNER's Mino to track Mino's second solo full-album, Ok man.
The iKon member moved to the United States with his family when he was in fourth grade and struggled financially. He then dreamed of a career in the South Korean entertainment industry for a straightforward reason: helping his family struggling financially.
Bobby wanted to bring his family back to South Korea from the United States, where they had relocated in search of a better life.
The humble background of the idol and his fluency in Konglish - a mixture of English and Korean - has made the singer a unique icon on the K-pop scene.
