AOA's Seo Yuna Departs FNC Entertainment After Eight Years
AOA's Yuna is now departing her agency, FNC Entertainment, after eight years of career with them.
On January 1, Friday AOA Yuna has decided to part ways with FNC Entertainment, which was her home for eight years after her exclusive contract expired this year. FNC Entertainment has officially announced her departure from the label through an official press release explaining the details.
In the letter, both FNC Entertainment and AOA's Yuna have sat down to discuss some matters, and after thorough consideration and mutual agreements, both camps have decided to end AOA's Yuna journey with the label. Moreover, the agency expressed profound gratitude for Seo Yuna, who has been under their management for eight years and have been promoted actively as an actress and an idol for the girl group AOA.
Despite the group AOA controversies, FNC Entertainment offered gratitude to fans who still supported other group members, including Seo Yuna. Now, the agency asks fans to support her on her decision as she takes the path on her own and makes a new start this year.
However, fans have mixed reactions to this news, as some are expressing sadness over her decision to leave the agency given her excellent promotional activities under FNC Entertainment's management. Some express happiness and support for the outcome as Yuna could explore more things on her own, which can be a great help to her character development as an individual and an idol.
Seo Yuna's Career
Seo Yuna debuted as an official member of AOA in 2012 through their debut single album, 'Angel's Story.' Following the group's blooming career back then, she became a sub-unit member of the band for 'AOA Cream' with other members Shin Hyejeong and Kim Chanmi.
Through her versatile talent, she also debuted as an actress as she takes on a lead role in the Japanese Musical 'Summer Snow,' in 2013. Moreover, Yuna's acting career grow more and has led her to a new project in which she was assigned to play a lead role in a comedy web-drama 'Prince's Prince' in 2015.
