UP10TION's Xiao And Kogyeol Resume Halted Activities After COVID-19 Quarantine
UP10TION's Xiao and Kogyeol are now back on their regular routines after getting quarantined due to unfortunate transmission of COVID-19.
On December 31, Thursday, Soompi reported that UP10TION's managing label, TOP Media, confirmed that Xiao and Kogyeol are no longer being quarantined. Earlier this month, Xiao and Kogyeol have tested positive for COVID-19 and has undergone quarantine to observe the symptoms and receive proper treatment.
Moreover, TOP Media confirmed that the decision to let UP10TION's Kogyeol and Xiao has been made by health authorities and verified the virus they are both carrying is not contagious.
"The health authorities have deemed that UP10TION's Xiao, who previously tested positive for COVID-19 on December 15, is not contagious. In accordance with this, he has returned to his daily life."
Furthermore, despite getting released from the quarantine facility, Kogyeol, who has been undergoing self-isolation since his release from the quarantine facility, is now gradually resuming all his halted media activities following health protocols.
TOP Media offered gratitude to fans who expressed their concerns to UP10TION members and promised the public their best to prioritize the staff and artists' health and safety by following COVID-19 protocols mandated by the government.
UP10TION's Kogyeol has been the first member of the group to be confirmed with COVID-19. After getting the results, the agency has taken the lead to have the staffs and members undergo COVID-19 testing, especially those who came close contact with Kogyeol. However, two weeks after Xiao's result came negative, which made the fans get extremely concerned.
Meanwhile, shootings, awarding ceremonies, concerts, and more that require public gatherings were temporarily halted in South Korea as the number of people infected with COVID-19 rises.
Other event organizers are now switching to online events to help K-pop idols push their events and concerts, this way, the community can help reduce the chance of getting infected as people can enjoy the performances at the comfort of their homes.
