BTS To Perform And To Receive An Award At 'The 62nd Japan Record Awards'
K-pop boy band BTS is again adding another achievement to their list as they get recognized by the Japan Record Awards!
On December 24, Thursday, Soompi reported that boy band BTS is officially being awarded by the Japanese network TBS the Special International Music Award from the 62nd Japan Record Awards. BTS's appearance will be pre-recorded to be presented at the event, following protocols for COVID-19, which restricts travel purposes.
The 62nd Japan Record Awards will feature BTS's massive hit songs 'Dynamite' and 'Life Goes On' in a video filmed in South Korea. As member Suga is still on hiatus for recuperating reasons, BTS will be performing with six members present to do the choreography and singing performance.
Fans are amazed at how this year was a prosperous year for BTS as they mark the year with their comeback. This proves that no matter the challenges brought by COVID-19 were, BTS will push through to bring quality music for their fans, especially during this crisis.
In addition to this award, BTS also has dominated the chart for Billboard's World Albums chart, by consistently sitting on the No. 1 spot for four weeks already with their album, 'BE.'
BTS's track 'Dynamite' also made headlines recently as it continues to rise again to Billboard's Hot 100 chart during its 17th week on the music chart.
Japan Record Awards is a major music awarding ceremony in Japan which recognizes the best of all music releases, similar to the biggest U.S. awarding show, GRAMMYs. The ceremony is usually commemorated annually, hosted with various artists from Japan respectively.
