Remembering The Late Jonghyun: SHINee Pays Tribute
SHINee made a heartfelt tribute to its late band member, Jonghyun, as today marks his third death anniversary.
Jonghyun, gone but never forgotten
On this day three years ago, December 18, 2017, the world lost the smile of SHINee's Jonghyun. It was genuinely a tragic day for many K-pop fans, especially for the late South Korean singer's family and band.
Today, despite the years kicking so fast, Jonghyun's passing still scarce the hearts of many and will never heal for a long time. Jonghyun's tragic way of severing his ties with the world still pains many, as fans of SHINee continue to commemorate the life Jonghyun lived.
On top of the fans, SHINee also paid tribute to its late band member. On Twitter on December 18, the official account of SHINee posted a photo of the late singer, with the caption: "늘 당신을 사랑합니다."
In literal English translation, it says, "We will always love you," which the band members truly feel. Per Allkpop, today is Jonghyun's third death anniversary, and fans of the singer and SHINee bombard social media with their utmost reminisce of the idol's life and the memories that they hold with him.
Celebrating the life of Jonghyun
As per Dontboreus, the 1990s-born singer-songwriter made his debut on the K-pop music stage in 2008. He rose his way up to the top with his mesmerizing talents, naming his vocals and songwriting presence that lives up to his name.
His vocal range and charms on stage made him one-of-a-kind until the industry was rocked by the news of his death three years ago. Shortly after Jonghyun's death made headlines, the hashtags #YouDidWellJonghyun and #StayStrongShawols trended worldwide on Twitter, showing the massive number of people who love him.
To date, SHINee continues to make a name in the K-pop stage, with the four remaining members-Taemin, Minho, Key, and Onew.
