NCT 127's leader Taeyong delivers his heartfelt views as a leader in a sit-down dialogue with News1's interview series, "I am the Leader."

The optimistic leader shared his thoughts about himself and his group. He also shared the greatest dream of his team, via Allkpop.

One question Taeyong received was on how he became the leader of NCT 127. He responded, "I did not know that I will become the leader of NCT 127. It just happened. The company said that I am full of passion and enthusiasm when I was a trainee."

The adorable idol then shared that he is the kind of leader who can say the group's given lines without committing mistakes. "I am also doing my best to carry out my leader responsibilities with strong resolve."

Taeyong also shared the weights and responsibilities of leading the talented and unique individuals in his team. He shared that he is very keen on details in camera work and formations, and he organizes all of that between the members and the staff. He also relays the opinion of his members to the team.

When asked if Taeyong is meticulous when taking care of his members, he responded, "I think I get in everyone's business too much. After wrapping up filming for our schedule line-up, I think about how the footage will remain forever, and I won't allow that we will regret them. That's why I try to focus on small details when we are working. I'm big on seeing things through without regrets."

Appreciating his members' love for their work, Taeyong shares the co-team member who helps out on his journey the most.

"Every member loves NCT 127 so much, and every member wants the team to succeed. We all have a strong passion for growth and recognition, so every member does their role. If I had to choose, Doyoung and Mark help me a lot."

He added, "We discuss a lot of things about our performances. I am also grateful to have our oldest hyung, Taeil. I'm always grateful that Taeil hyung recognizes me, and because of that, I try harder to be a good leader."

Taeyong also shares the ultimate goal of NCT 127. The passionate leader said that he would like every member to be recognized for their talents, to the extent that each member can be a solo artist someday.

"I think that will create a mark for us to become the most talented team. Our dream is also to become recognized artists, following in our SM Entertainment sunbaes' footsteps."
