KBS's 'Gayo Daechukje' Reveals 1st Lineup: BTS, NCT, SEVENTEEN, Jessi, Jackson Wang, & More
The much-awaited winter concert of KBS is happening soon!
KBS announces the first lineup of artists for the show
The South Korean network will facilitate another entry to its annual winter concert event-the Gayo Daechukje!
KBS uploaded a teaser of the Gayo Daechukje on KBS Kpop's youtube channel on December 14 (Monday). The almost 30-minute video clip kicks off with the graphics that say "CONNECT," then showing the artists' photos and names.
Allkpop delightedly reported the list of performers based on the short commercial released by KBS. That said, various K-pop artists will headline the Gayo Daechukje, including the world's most phenomenal K-pop boy group BTS, girl group TWICE, Seventeen, and NCT.
Moreover, Paul Kim and SHINee's Taemin will also be gracing the winter concert.
The upcoming event will be graced by collaboration performances of Sunmi and J.Y. Park, trot seniors Seoul Un Do and Kim Yeon Ja, and one of the most-anticipated, Jessi and Jackson Wang's team up!
According to Soompi, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, TVXQ's Yunho, and Shin Ye Eun will be hosting the 2020 KBS Song Festival, aka Gayo Daechukje, which will surely make the hearts of fans flutter.
This week, the event will be making its way on December 18, precisely 8:30 PM, following South Korea's time zone.
More about the Gayo Daechukje
For starters, the Gayo Daechukje is an annual South Korean event that is facilitated and broadcasted by KBS, or the Korean Broadcasting System. It was first held in 1965 as an awards ceremony but was changed into a music festival in 2006.
Famous stunts and performances already graced the show's stage, including BTS, which are also part of the performers this year. Moreover, KBS is expected to release more performers as the event is nearing, so stay tuned!
