Aespa Reveals Story Behind Their Stage Names On 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song At Noon'

On December 8, Tuesday, Soompi reported that Aespa did appear on 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song At Noon,' on their December 7 latest episode. The girls tackled the meaning behind their stage names, which made the fans love them more.
Winter first shared her stage name story and revealed that she was indeed born on a winter season, adding that her managing label sees her as a pure-hearted girl. These reasons led her to become Aespa's 'Winter.'
Ningning also shared her part of the story, which she revealed having another birth name but grew up being called 'Ningning' as her nickname. Ningning insisted on using her nickname to stardom, which she seemed comfortable carrying on stage.
Furthermore, Aespa's Giselle went to share her story next and said that her headband played a huge role in becoming Giselle of Aespa. She added that it's their trainer who said she looked like a British girl in her style, which led her to be named like one as 'Giselle.'
Last to share is Aespa's Karina; she shared her baptismal name is 'Katarina' but became 'Karina' before debut. Karina revealed that the agency had other options like Woo Ah and Jasmine.
When asked about other celebrities they wished to meet the most outside SM Entertainment, Ningning shared she wanted to meet Beyonce and Jay Park. Ningning even sent Jay Park a short clip message saying someday she will be able to copy his songs and dancing choreographies.
Moreover, Karina shared the variety show she loved to appear in and thinks she would do well. "I want to appear on 'Home Alone (I Live Alone),' but I live in a dorm right now." In the end, Karina picked the 'Begin Again' show.
As the show comes to an end, Ningning shared emotionally that she wishes to see everyone in person soon. She reminded the fans and public to take care of their health and support Aespa in their future activities.
