Kim Hyun Joo & Ji Jin Hee To Reunite In Korean Adaptation Of BBC's 'Undercover'
It's a reunion for the two prolific actors in JBTC's Korean Adaptation of BBC's Undercover!
Originally written by Peter Moffat and directed by James Hawes on BBC One series, "Undercover" depicts a story of Han Jung Hyun (Ji Jin Hee), who's been hiding a secret past and has been protecting his identity for so long, and Choi Yeon Soo (Kim Hyun Joo), a human rights lawyer who keeps fighting for what is right who becomes the first head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.
The series will portray a battle to protect love and justice against the enormous forces dominating and shaking the country for personal interests, Soompi reports.
The drama series is expected to explore the authenticity of power and carefully follow human diversity hidden in it. The drama will also tackle the discussion of what is right and what is wrong.
Taking the role of Han Jung Hyun, Ji Jin Hee will take part in the role of an agent who was chosen as the secretary of the Ministry of Police during his studies at the National Police University. He first encountered his wife during a secret mission and left the past to live in a new direction for his wife, wrote Hellokpop.
On the other hand, Kim Hyun Joo steps in the character of a human rights lawyer who believes in living what is right. With her skills and beliefs, she was nominated as the first head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption
Investigations Unit. While in the position, she finds out the shocking truth about his partner.
"I decided to star in this drama because I was moved by Han Jung Hyun's character, who sacrifices himself to protect his loved ones," Ji Jin Hee commented.
The actor expresses that he is looking forward to his reunion with Kim Hyun Joo. "I'll be back soon with a good drama and acting, so please show lots of interest in Undercover."
Kim Hyun Joo stated that she became interested in the story as she read the script and became hooked on the relationship between them. "Choi Yeon Soo caught my attention, and I was more attracted to her because she is close to the ideal figure we want. We would appreciate it if you would support us and look forward to the drama," the actress stated.
'Undercover' will air for the first time in the first half of 2021!
