2020 MAMA Voting Update: BTS, BLACKPINK, & IU Are Still In The Lead
To date, the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards is nearing more than a week, and votes from across the globe see a surge in the voting traffic. Here is the poll's current standing with BTS, BLACKPINK, and IU leading the race.
Three powerhouse artists dominate the #2020MAMA
In their respective categories, BTS leads the race among fellow nominated artists. Undoubtedly, BTS storms any of the awards show of today, of which they were also nominated for an award at the forthcoming 2021 Grammys.
On the other hand, the BLACKPINK queens are the female version of BTS, dominating the all-female categories of the #2020MAMA.
As per Hellokpop, Day6 and Gaho are up for the Best Band Performance and Best OST, leading the pool in a considerable gap.
Girl group SECRET NUMBER and rookie boy group from YG Entertainment TREASURE are on the top rank for the new artist award, leaving the second placer in a vast gap.
Soloist IU, who currently works for a new K-drama series, is soaring high on her respective categories. The award-giving body sees massive incoming votes for the artist, making her lead her nominations.
Baekhyun and Zico are also on the top list, while girl group MAMAMOO and member Hwasa keep their head high on their respective categories.
JOOX brings you #2020MAMA
According to Bandwagon Asia, application and music platform JOOX partnered with Mnet Asian Music Awards for a one-of-a-kind virtual music festival experience.
JOOX is the home of MAMA for five consecutive years now, bringing fans and viewers closer to the awarding event stage. The broadcast is made available for fans located in Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar.
Meanwhile, performances of the artists will be available on-demand on the application for six months. Despite the virtual event, the #2020MAMA will surely be an unforgettable event, thanks to JOOX.
