AOA's Mina Posts First Instagram Update After Bullying Controversy With Jimin
After the bullying controversy involving AOA's former leader Jimin, Mina has dropped her first Instagram update, displaying a picture of her dog captioning it with a reflection on her personal life.
Mina also took the opportunity to appreciate her fans for the encouragement:
"My friends are not only providing me text messages, but also several other people via DM, email, and other methods give me a letter of concern and care. However, I'm sorry I can't answer them all. I try to read as much as I can, and I am incredibly thankful.
I'll be returning as soon as possible so that everyone won't be worrying about me, and I'll seek proper treatment as well. Little steps, I will be able to come back with a healthier mind and a positive face. And better take care of yourself, so you don't get sick. I'll do my best! Don't miss wearing a mask so you won't have a cold, because these days the climate will rain and it was both hot and cold.
I'm immensely grateful once again, and I'm so sorry! Fighting everyone!" - Mina

"Oh, thank God she is okay. But I genuinely hope she finds a way to be happy again—also, IDK why she apologized. There is no need. She was hurting, and people came to support her. she is a good example of a strong woman to show bullying isn't okay and can't be allowed." -Gookr
On July 3, Mina posted a series of stories that revealed that an AOA member, who was later revealed to be Jimin, has been harassing her, leading to harmful thoughts.
Jimin responded to the accusations, but it did not stop Mina from revealing the details of her suffering under the leadership of Jimin.
Mina also disclosed that FNC Entertainment did not take any measures at that time, as reported by Koreaboo.
She released her final statement about the controversy on July 4, revealing that Jimin tried to apologize but ended up gaslighting instead.
FNC Entertainment later confirmed the departure of Jimin from AOA and the entertainment industry.
