VICTON's Comeback With 'Voice: The Future Is Now' Is Canceled, Members Quarantined
The seven-member K-pop all-boy group, VICTON, faces cancelation for its comeback show scheduled for December due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
VICTON members are in self-quarantine for 14 days
According to Allkpop, VICTON officially comes to an agitating decision of postponing its comeback with Voice: The Future Is Now.
With that said, the K-pop boy ensemble was initially set to put on a dazzling show this coming December 1 with its first full album release entitled Voice: The Future Is Now. The matter comes after all seven band members underwent COVID-19 testing on November 23 (Monday), after coming to the knowledge that a staff member from 1theK tested positive for the deadly virus.
VICTON had to go through the testing, considering they interacted with the said staff member for a web variety content on November 20 (Friday). Later on, it was announced that the staff is positive of COVID-19, and fortunately, the members and the concerned Play M Entertainment staff comes out as negative.
For the time being, in a Soompi report, Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Heo Chan, Lim Se-jun, Do Han-se, Choi Byung-chan, Jung Su-bin, and Play M Entertainment staff are self-quarantining for 14 days.
The postponement of VICTON's Voice: The Future Is Now album also hails a factor that the country's social distancing measure was raised to level 2. And with the case, Play M Entertainment comes to a final decision.
Play M Entertainment's statement
The entertainment agency, which has been the home of VICTON, released an official statement to address fans' wondering minds.
"We apologize for causing concerns, and we also ask for fans' generous understanding. The boys will prepare tenfold and return with a good image," the agency said. For the full version of the statement, click here.
