BTS Coveted Two Awards From The '2020 American Music Awards' In Debonair Outfits
The world's most phenomenal K-pop group continues to wow ARMYs from across the globe as the band bagged two prominent awards at that recently-concluded 2020 American Music Awards.
BTS wins big at the 2020 American Music Awards
As mentioned above, the Big Hit Entertainment-managed boy band, BTS, takes home two awards at the American awards show in the US.
According to the K-pop dedicated news site, Soompi, the K-pop septet coveted the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock and the Favorite Social Artist. That said, the boy band was awarded on November 22 in Los Angeles, California.
Indeed, as everyone expected, BTS will never miss the chance to go home with bragging rights at the American Music Awards, considering the band stormed the world through their music releases.
BTS cross swords with famous international artists, including the Jonas Brothers and Maroon 5 in the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock. Simultaneously, they were up against Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and fellow K-pop boy groups EXO and NCT 127 for Favorite Social Artist, as per Allkpop.

However, the Dynamite singers and rappers could not grace the awards ceremony in person due to the travel restrictions imposed by both the South Korean and American governments caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic.
But BTS did not miss its chance to thank its beloved ARMYs through a video message. "Thank you, ARMY and the AMAs, for this great honor," Jimin said. RM then exclaimed their longing for having Suga so they could celebrate completely.
In the video message, fans could not help but gush over the dashing looks of the band. RM, J-hop, V, Jimin, Jin, and Jungkook wore black suits, making them look more sophisticated.
Meanwhile, it is BTS's second Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock trophy, and they're third for the second award.
