On November 16, Monday, AllKpop reported that the boy septet had successfully been hailed as the 'Group of 2020' at the E! People's Choice Awards. Fans are proud and delighted with this good news as BTS gets another recognition for their music and talent.
Having BTS nominated along with other various biggest and prominent names in the music industry, including in the United States, is no surprise as they had been sweeping domestic and international music charts since their comeback. Even ARMYs (BTS fandom) already expect that they will be nominated at every awarding ceremony.
This time, BTS successfully won the title for 'Group of 2020' at the E! People's Choice Awards beating other international artists in the said category. The boys have won the title against artists like 5 Seconds of Summer, Chloe x Halle, CNCO, Dan + Shay, Jonas Brothers, Twenty One Pilots, and the South Korean girl band BLACKPINK.
The septet had also been nominated in other categories and managed to win the 'Song of 2020' award for their song 'Dynamite,' 'Album of 2020' for their album 'Map of the Soul:7' and 'Music Video of 2020' for their massive hit 'Dynamite.' Check out their acceptance speech here.
Now ARMYs are prouder than they have ever been before with BTS, as the boy group managed to snatch awards against other Western artists whose prominence is tremendous across the globe. For the 'Music Video of 2020', BTS had surpassed votes against BLACKPINK's 'Ice Cream ft. Selena Gomez'. BLACKPINK and BTS are the only K-pop groups nominated at the E! People's Choice Awards.
With various titles and recognitions awarded to BTS, fans set high hopes for BTS's future musical promotions and projects.
