BTS Jimin Becomes First Korean Artist To Have Three Solo Singles With Over 100 Million Streams On Spotify
BTS Jimin is leveling up on his coveted spot on the world’s most utilizes music streaming platform as he bagged another title to his long list of tags. As per Somagnews, Jimin is the first Asian singer to have multiple songs that surpasses 100 million streams on Spotify, making him set a record for a K-pop idol.
BTS Jimin soars high on Spotify streams
The 25-year-old lead vocalist of the Bangtan Boys, best known as BTS, has proved he is one of the group’s record-maker. On top of being the King of K-Pop, as awarded by King’s Choice, Jimin has made another meaningful history.
In an Allkpop report, the Filter singer is the first and only Korean solo artist to own three singles that hails more than 100 million streams on Spotify.
In particular, the recent solo track of the BTS member called Filter has reached 100 million streams on the said music platform, which is also the world’s largest. Having that said, Filter is the third solo single of Jimin to impress Spotify with its massive figure of streams, following the footsteps of Serendipity Full Length Edition and Lie.
Jimin only took 262 days to achieve the remarkable milestone on Spotify since Filter was dropped on February 21, 2020. The same track is also the first solo piece of the world’s most phenomenal K-pop band’s Map of the Soul: 7 album, the 43rd BTS song, and the 5th BTS solo to achieve 100 million streams on Spotify.
