The Pussycat Dolls Compliment BLACKPINK For Tying Their Record In Digital Song Sales
With the release of their latest single track "How You Like That," BLACKPINK has been breaking records left and right!
After their comeback, the worldwide famous girl group has been smashing and establishing new milestones almost every day, and it seems like they are far from being done. "How You Like That" just accomplished another achievement by becoming the highest-charting single by a girl group in Digital Song Sales chart records!
BLACKPINK has officially tied with The Pussycat Dolls' breakout hit "Don't Cha" and "Not Ready to Make Nice" by The Chicks (also formerly known as Dixie Chicks), MYX reported.
The Pussycat Dolls members were genuinely happy for BLACKPINK and even took it to Twitter to congratulate their competitor. They tweeted, "Congrats, girls!!!"
It's always a beautiful thing when artists support one another instead of pulling each other down.
BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' Is Now YouTube's Most Streamed Music Video
K-pop extends its viewer domination on YouTube as BLACKPINK's new single "How You Like That" breaks YouTube's 24-hour viewing record, beating second-placer BTS by higher than 7 million views.
This is not the first occurrence that BLACKPINK has achieved this virtual accomplishment. BLACKPINK's previous single "Kill This Love" was also the most-streamed YouTube video in 24 hours during the launch of its music video.
The said YouTube achievement was previously possessed by American pop stars like Taylor Swift with "Me!" featuring Brendon Urie and Ariana Grande with "Thank U, Next."
YouTube views during the first 24 hours are typically regarded as accurate indications of one's soaring popularity. Nevertheless, last September, YouTube had to immediately modify their methodology after an Indian rapper named Badshah supposedly inflated his views through paid advertisements.
Since then, YouTube Music Charts no longer counts paid ad views within the 24-hour count to reflect fan engagement better, Deadline reported.
