Kim Nam Gil To Possibly Appear In A Fantasy Drama With Seo Ye Ji
Kim Nam Gil is currently reviewing possible future fantasy drama project with 'It's Okay To Not Be Okay' leading actress Seo Ye Ji. Fans cannot wait!
Soompi exclusively reported on November 4, Wednesday, that a source from OCN network shared that the actor, Kim Nam Gil, reviews their proposal to portray a lead role in fantasy drama 'island.'
This official statement from the source was followed by a report from Newsen confirming his casting on the upcoming movie project. 'Island' is set to hit the screens in the second half of 2021.
If Kim Nam Gil accepts the proposal, he will be portraying the lead role, a monster hunter named Van. His character lacks reality adjusting skills, as he rampages on hunting and killing monsters.
Moreover, Seo Ye Ji will also star in the project portraying the role of Won Mi-Ho from a wealthy family but is targeted by Goblins. The two are set to meet in the fantasy-themed drama as Van defeats those who are after Won Mi Ho.
'Island' is a webtoon based, fantasy exorcism drama. The story will revolve around a man looking for a woman who can end his suffering of cursed immortal life and a story of a woman who lacks awareness of how tragic her fate was. The characters will be joined by guilt possessed priest and together will embark on a journey on the island, which in the end would test their strength to guard one another.
The upcoming project is handled by director Bae Jong and scriptwriter Jang Yoon Mi. No official reports of accepting the role yet, but Kim Nam Gil is currently making an appearance in 'K-Ocean Pathfinders.'
Along with any other film commitments, he is also set to shoot an upcoming film project titled 'Declaration of Emergency.' If Kim Nam Gil confirms the drama's appearance, this will be his first drama series project after he officially departs his previous label, C- JeS Entertainment.
