Aespa Confirms Debut Date With Single ‘Black Mamba’
SM Entertainment’s newest girl group, Aespa, will be debuting on November 17, along with their upcoming single “Black Mamba.”
Through their official press release, the company shared the news that states, “Black Mamba will be released on various music sites at 6 PM on November 17 and is expected to get a hot reaction from global music fans.”
In the press release, Aespa said: “You will meet your alter ego, Avatar, and experience a new world.” SM Entertainment also stated that “Black Mamba” is foretelling various activities based on a world view.
Meanwhile, Aespa has released a video clip that showcases the group members' visuals and their unique colors. The video clip follows the members in their worlds and highlights the things they are passionate about. Each member has different skills to bring to the table, and fans are excited to see it on the big stage.
Previously, Aespa member Karina team up with EXO’s Kai for Hyundai Motors’ newest flagship vehicle, the Hyundai Tucson. The surprise duet performance from the two idols was held on an online virtual stage.
EXO’s Kai took center stage as he introduces the latest Hyundai Tucson for its introduction and, later on, is joined by Aespa’s Karina in a theater setting with the car on stage. The two artists have excellent chemistry as they dance in a fantasy-like world.
Karina also shows off her acting skills as she and Kai incorporate a boy-meets-girl story in both the real world and in another dimension. Coincidently enough, the setting also fits Aespa’s concept: real-world members and a virtual one.
Check out Karina's dance performance with EXO's Kai below.
Aespa, which takes in combining “ae,” which means “Avatar,” and Experience” and the English word for “Aspect,” which means both sides. “Meet your other ego. Avatar and You will experience a new world,” is epoch-making based on the world view.
