SBS Clarifies Red Velvet's Exclusion From Their Official Broadcast Of 2020 Gangnam Concert
SBS clarified some misunderstandings on online forums following the deletion of Red Velvet's performances on the channel's official broadcast for the 2020 Gangnam Festival K-pop Concert. Some fans believed that it was due to Irene's attitude controversy.
On November 1, Sunday, SBS officially broadcasted various K-pop groups' performances except for Red Velvet's. Some fans and netizens concluded that it might be because of Irene's recent controversy with her stylist. (via Soompi)
The virtual 2020 Gangnam Festival K-pop Concert was aired last October 18 with outstanding performances from different K-pop artists and groups from the music industry. The star-studded roster of artists includes Kang Daniel, ASTRO, AB6IX Oh My Girl, and Red Velvet. The five-membered girl band Red Velvet performed their 'Song Of The Year' track 'Psycho,' 'Bad Boy,' and 'Umpah Umpah.'
Following the recent controversy of Red Velvet's performance exclusion from the official broadcast, An SBS source clarifies some misunderstandings. The source reasoned out to Star News that the decision was made because the broadcasting network didn't have enough time to air the virtual K-pop festival's exclusive performances. (via Naver)
That is why they had to cut some scenes and shortened the whole event performances during the editing process. SBS network made it clear that it has nothing to do with Irene's controversy and asked for everyone's understanding.

SBS Excluded Red Velvet's Performance
