BTS World Domination: 'Black Swan' Shattered A Major iTunes Record Of Adele
BTS' seems to be in-depth in dominating the world with its massive influence and enchanting music. Now, with "Black Swan," the superstars grabbed Adele's 5-year reign in World iTunes Record.
According to the ETCanada, BTS and Adele are the only two artists in the world to have a number one song on the iTunes chart in 100 countries.
With "Hello" released in 2015, Adele has been enjoying the remarkable record for five years. However, on the 5th of July, BTS took over the spot after hitting the number one spot in 103 countries with "Black Swan," beating Adele's record of 102 countries with the 2015 hit "Hello."
According to Forbes, the push for "Black swan" to dominate iTunes started on social media. With the ARMY (BTS Fans) urging one another on Twitter for massive purchases of the song. As a result, they accomplished their goal quickly, topping the iTunes chart of Nepal, Zimbabwe, and finally, Cape Verde.
BTS' fans around the world celebrated another milestone with their beloved idols on Twitter by trending "#BTS WORLD DOMINATION" on Sunday night.
According to Lainey Gossip, the song "Black Swan" is about the artist's greatest fear of losing passion for the work when they can no longer find the fire to create. That if happens, for an artist, though still alive and breathing, he is losing his soul.
For now, BTS is far from losing their passion for their craft, and with the vast fandom of the septet, they're not in danger of losing an ounce of popularity.
"Black Swan" was released in January as the first single for BTS' seventh album, "Map of the Soul: 7." The album marked the seventh anniversary of BTS - seven years for seven members.
The number seven seems to be a unique symbol for the group this year as they reach a new era of influence and music.
Congratulations, BTS! Well done!
